Wow! What a talented bunch of school children!
Penicuik Hunter and Lass Talent show 2019 was amazing! The children of Penicuik are extremely talented – there are definitely a few names to look out for in the future! The Saturday night final was a culmination of weeks of primary school heats, where the winners from each school’s age groups are put forward to perform.
The acts were fantastic and showed such variety: we had a magician, dancers, singers, musicians and a poet… There was a hall full of family and friends all cheering and willing them to do well – we don’t know how they didn’t get stage fright!
The unenviable task of choosing the winners fell to our judges; Hunter 2018 Stuart Gillies, Hunter Elect 2019 – Fraser Howie.
The 2019 Winners from each group were:
- P1-P2 – Evony Easton, Poppy Murray, Abi Lavery, Anna Muir, Grace Hope (Mauricewood Primary School)
- P3-P4 – Freya McLaren, (Cuiken Primary School)
- P5-P7 – Cara Moretta (Mauricewood Primary School)
The Overall Winners of Penicuik’s Got Talent 2019 were:
- P1-P2 – Evony Easton, Poppy Murray, Abi Lavery, Anna Muir, Grace Hope from Mauricewood Primary School, who did a fabulous dance routine.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank the Penicuik Primary Schools, Gorgeous George, our compare on the evening and Peter Middleton, for their help in making this night such a success. We look forward to seeing the next generation of talent at next year’s show.
