Winter Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to Penicuik Hunter and Lass Winter Prize Draw 2022.

It is your responsibility to read these terms and conditions before entrance into this prize draw. Penicuik Hunter and Lass is run by the Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee, a community organisation that is run by volunteers. All income raised from this prize draw will go to The Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee for Penicuik Hunter and Lass Week events.

Entering the Prize Draw

  • Participation in this prize draw is through Crowdfunder at a cost of £5 for 5 entries, £10 for 15 entries, £15 for 20 entries or £20 for 30 entries. There is a limit of 7000 entries in to the prize draw. The receipt from Crowdfunder is the acknowledgement that the prize draw has been entered, you will not receive a ticket from Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee.
  • You have to be 18 years or older to enter.
  • Prize draw entries are not to be sold to, sold by, or bought on behalf of anyone under 18 years of age. Any entry bought by or on behalf of somebody under the age of 18 will be rejected from the draw.
  • The prize draw is open to residents of Great Britain only.
  • Committee members that have any connection with the production of the prize draw, as well as relatives of such persons, are unable to enter the prize draw.
  • Payment for participation in the prize draw is through Crowdfunder only. No other form of payment can be accepted.
  • Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee accepts no responsibility for prize draw entries which are lost or from which the prize-winner cannot be identified, or for any technical failure or event which may cause the competition to be disrupted or corrupted.
  • Penicuik Hunter and Lass accepts no responsibility if the chosen method of payment is cancelled in error.
  • Any prize draw monies received after the closing date will be treated as a donation to Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee and the entry will not be part of the draw.
  • Free entry to the prize draw can be made by sending a postcard (or letter) to Jan Harding, Penicuik Hunter and Lass, 16 Craigiebield Crescent, Penicuik, EH26 9EQ. Please include the name, phone number and email address of the person entering the prize draw. Each postcard entrant will have one entry into the prize draw. Postcard entries must be received before 23:59 on Tuesday 20th December. The postage should be fully paid, using standard first or second class post, to be eligible for the prize draw. Entries through the post will not receive a receipt.
  • Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee reserves the right to disqualify any entry at their absolute discretion.


The Prize Draw

  • The Prize Draw runs from 09:00 on Thursday 1st December 2022 and closes at 09:00 on Saturday 24th December 2022. The names of the winners to the prize draw will be drawn from the supporter’s details data provided by Crowdfunder and any postal entries received combined on Saturday 24th December 2022.
  • Paid entries to the Prize Draw are through the fundraising platform Crowdfunder.
  • Prize draw entries received by postcard will be manually entered into Crowdfunder’s supporter’s details database.
  • The prize winners will be randomly selected on the draw date. The first entry drawn will win the first prize, the second entry drawn will win one of the two runner up prizes and the third entry drawn will with the other runner up prize.
  • The result of the prize draw is final. No correspondence will be entered into about the prize draw process and results.
  • Winners’ names will be published on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/hunterandlass by 10pm on 24 December 2022, or no later than 7 days of the draw taking place. If you do not wish to have your name published on Penicuik Hunter and Lass facebook page please choose the privacy option when entering the draw through Crowdfunder.
  • Winners will be notified by the Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee by email no later than 2 weeks after the draw date.
  • The first prize will be a gift voucher email, emailed to the winner to an email address as agred between the winner and Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee. The runners up will be asked how they want to receive their prize. Prizes will be delivered between 24th December 2022 and 31st January 2023 or later as agreed between the prize winner and the Penicuik Hunter and Lass Committee.
  • If no contact is made by the winner with the prize supplier within six weeks of the winning email being sent the prize may be forfeit.
  • Non-cash prizes are subject to the prize suppliers’ terms and conditions, and any complaints or queries relating to the condition or use of the prize should be directed to the relevant supplier of the prize.
